Participating in The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children

In July 2025, the EllisDon-PCL Healthcare Partners project consortium was awarded the contract to design, build, finance, and maintain Canada’s largest hospital development project. Construction began in summer 2025, with the hospital scheduled to open in summer 2033.

Trillium Health Partners’ broader hospital infrastructure renewal plan, Trillium HealthWorks, that will enhance public healthcare infrastructure for the region, with works that will support surrounding communities, improve access to care, and reduce wait times.

How business opportunities are managed
All construction‑related procurement and supplier engagement for this project is managed by EllisDon-PCL Healthcare Partners.

There will be many opportunities for businesses and the community to become involved throughout.
