Frequently Asked Questions
Trillium Health Partners has opened a new parking garage at Mississauga Hospital. This 8-storey parking garage is located at Bronte College Court and can be accessed from the hospital’s Bronte College Court, Queensway West, or Confederation Pkwy entrances. The new parking garage offers accessible spaces close to elevators, electric vehicle charging, and over 1,300 parking spaces. Additionally, an underground tunnel will connect the new garage to the future loading dock of the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, which will streamline shipping and loading operations for greater efficiency and ease.
The parking garage on the corner of Hurontario and Queensway West, as well as the southeast and southwest surface lots have closed as they are currently located on the grounds of the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. To begin building the new hospital in 2025, these parking areas must be vacated and demolished in advance.
The parking lots will be closed indefinitely in preparation for the construction of the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. However, Trillium Health Partners will continue building additional parking lots and spaces throughout the development and there will be many more spaces than there is today.
Mississauga Hospital is in a unique position where we are building the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital on the same grounds as the current hospital. As we prepare for construction of the future hospital and begin development, there are going to be locations that will require a re-route of traffic or traffic restrictions. This will enable us to safely build the new hospital, while providing high quality care to the community. We recognize the inconvenience that this may cause for all staff, patients and visitors and we appreciate your understanding throughout the course of construction.
This new development is part of THP’s construction activities to prepare for the largest health infrastructure renewal project in Canada’s history, Trillium HealthWorks, that is set to take place over the next several years. We recognize that ongoing construction and changes to parking, traffic, etc. can be frustrating. Due to construction and location of the new garage, driving to the hospital will look different than before. Allow extra time to find a parking space.
Thank you for your patience. Patients, families and all those who work at THP will always be our top priority and we are committed to continuing to provide the highest quality of care while fostering a positive patient, family and provider experience throughout these construction activities.
