A Proven Economic Anchor Today
Trillium Health Partners is the second largest employer in Mississauga, supporting more than 17,000 staff, physicians, learners, and volunteers across its hospital sites and programs.
Independent economic analysis shows that Trillium Health Partners generates more than $547 million annually in economic activity across Peel Region through hospital operations, purchasing, and employee spending. Every dollar invested generates nearly $5 in additional economic activity locally, reinforcing the hospital’s role as a major anchor economic anchor for the community.

In July 2025, the EllisDon-PCL Healthcare Partners project consortium was awarded the contract to design, build, finance, and maintain Canada’s largest hospital development project. Construction began in summer 2025, with the hospital scheduled to open in summer 2033.
